MIRUS PREZIOSI carries out laboratory analyses, appraisals, and valuations of precious items of all kinds, issuing a written certificate.
The analyses are carried out using modern equipment for the accurate assessment of the characteristics of the analyzed jewelry and gemstones.
Appraisals and valuations for: jewelry sales, inheritances, insurance, safe deposit box opening.
The owner, Dr. Lorenzo Ammirabile, is a Gemologist graduated from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), guaranteeing accuracy and integrity in analyses, a Member of the Italian Gemological Association (Reg. no. 541), a civil and criminal expert for the Court of Bologna, and an expert registered with the Register of Experts of the Bologna Chamber of Commerce.
Our laboratory uses the following state-of-the-art equipment for identifying the nature and characteristics of the gemstones subjected to analysis:
– darkfield trinocular microscope with eyepieces up to 90x magnification
– hydrostatic balance for evaluating the specific gravity of gemstones (SG)
– refractometer
